Redskins fall to Colts, 27-24

The Washington Redskins mounted a late rally but fell short in a 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Washington’s offense failed to take full advantage of three Indianapolis turnovers, and the defense dropped several easy interceptions.

With running back Clinton Portis sidelined, Ryan Torain took full advantage, running for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Tight end Chris Cooley dropped a couple of key passes and eventually left the game with a concussion.

Given the team’s schedule to start the season, a 3-3 record after six games is about as good as could have been expected.
