Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder usually stays out of the public eye when it comes to commenting on his team.
You know something must have him pretty fired up when he speaks with the media about the Redskins.
Snyder addressed the absence of defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth by saying he was very disappointed he wasn’t participating in offseason workouts.
The owner went on to say that he needs to realize he is a Redskin and should start acting like one.
Haynesworth is upset with the team’s switch to a different defensive scheme after being lured to Washington as a free agent with a different plan.

The Washington Redskins are having free agent running back Brian Westbrook in for a visit.
Westbrook was supposedly close to a deal with the St. Louis Rams, but the two sides could never come to an agreement.
The Redskins would seem like a bad landing spot for Westbrook given their crowded backfield situation.
The team already has Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker slated to get carries.
Then again, Westbrook would be the only one out of that group with terrific pass-catching ability.

Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb was not happy with comments made by former teammate DeSean Jackson.
McNabb said that he doesn’t pay attention to any of that stuff, yet still offered a rebuttal to Jackson.
He said it’s interesting how everything is gravy when they are on the same team, but the minute he leaves, the hating begins.
He went on to say that he is a Redskins and not an Eagle now but had 11 great years in Philadelphia.
McNabb may say that publically, but you know he is itching to play his former team and come away with a win.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan has made it clear that he wants players in camp.
The head coach has clearly grown frustrated by the absence of defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and other veterans.
He said that it’s important that all the players are showing up because there is a lot to learn with his new system.
Linebacker Rocky McIntosh skipped previous workouts but did show up for the latest voluntary minicamp.
That clearly pleased Shanahan, who said he expects to see a lot more of McIntosh going forward.

The Washington Redskins have signed wide receivers Joey Galloway and Bobby Wade to contracts.
The Redskins were rumored to be in the market for a top wide receiver this offseason but haven’t made any big moves.
Terrell Owens name continues to surface because of support from new quarterback Donovan McNabb.
However, the team has made it clear they would rather not go in that direction and risk friction in the locker room.
Galloway still has good speed despite his agent and could be the veteran presence they are looking for.
